This is one of the first Village Hotels to have a newly refurbished Victory Chop & Ale House. This new brand of restaurant is designed to offer great food and drink when staying away from home.

This follows in the blueprints of the new De Vere Urban Resorts, as outlined by Chief Executive Robert Cook. One of the main points of this new type of Chop & Ale House, is to make the chef one of the centre pieces to the whole restaurant. Therefore the chef is positioned in view of the diners, allowing them to see their meals being cooked in front of them. A key feature to the menu, is the variety of meals done of their special grill. This means that the steaks are always perfectly cooked and served.

The menu centres around good quality food, with local ingredients which are cooked well. Therefore if you are away from home and fancy something hearty and warming, you can indulge in one of their delicious pies and stews. If you fancy being adventurous or luxurious, there are plenty of items on the ever-changing menu to keep your mouth watering.

To accompany this stunning array of food, Village have worked with By The Glass to put in an 8-bottle By The Glass system. This is positioned behind the bar, giving a focal point to the wines on offer. With such a wide variety of food on offer, the system allows the restaurant to match to different wines, and guests can have different wines throughout their meal, meaning that you don’t have to drink something which doesn’t perfectly suit what you’re eating.

The hotel also boasts a brand new concept in Upper Deck, aimed at business travellers wanting every home comfort imaginable whilst they are away – from enough space to work, a music dock, to a full Sky Sports package to relax in front of the football!

The system will be situated behind the back bar, for staff to use, allowing them to offer tastes of wines, and a wide range of wines to suit every palate.

The hotel will be the first one in the area to have a wine preservation system, and will be a unique point of difference for the coming months. Being in the location it is, the new restaurant will attract guests staying in the hotel for dinner, as well as locals from the surrounding area, keen to try out the new restaurant on their doorstep.
