The Engineer was refurbished at the end of 2011. As part of this refurbishment, a 6-bottle By The Glass system was brought in to drive sales of fine wines by the glass.
The area is home to actors, writers and wealthy individuals, and as such, The Engineer wanted to offer a little more than a standard pub offering.
The installation of a system allowed a great range of wines to be put in place, and for these to be marketed and constantly changed, ensuring there was always a treat on the wine list for their discerning customers.
Alongside the system, a new chef and management team were brought in to completely change the emphasis of the pub, and offer something new.
